Tesco Extra, Gorton, Manchester

We were awarded a large contract with ALS to carry out a huge amount of jet washing to a Tesco Extra store in Gorton. We were tasked to jet wash most of the site over a two week period. Our custom built hot jet wash system was the only equipment suitable for removing years worth of grime. We gum blasted the front entrance paving across the width of the store, all elevations were soft washed, the service yard was cleaned in its entirety, vegetation was removed and then pressure washed from alleyways at the rear of the store, graffiti was removed. We also used our UKPIA staff to carry out pressure washing at the Tesco filling station.

The response from the customers and the Tesco store staff whilst we were working was phenomenal as the transformation of the store was clear to see. The store was fully open and so we had to work around the opening times and ensure our Health and Safety was on point. A lot of the work was completed out of hours. Our access equipment was handpicked by our trained technicians to reach some very awkward areas such as the Tesco sky sign on the roof which was also given a good clean.

After seeing the standard of clean we had completed here we were awarded our next project at Tesco Extra, Farnworth where a similar specification of works was given.
